Hi, I'm new to the forum so apologies if this question has been asked before. My OH has a gambling problem but has tried to be proactive in getting his online accounts restricted so he can't use them anymore. He's finally agreed to get some counselling but in the meantime I was wondering if anyone was aware of l*******s shop policies. Is it possible to get him 'banned' in some way? He's very much up for this as I think the embarrassment itself of going in and being refused would put him off all together. Thanks
So I obviously can't refer to the shop it starts with lad
Hi Timemeans, welcome to the forum 🙂
There is a multi operator self exclusion scheme (MOSES) in operation:
http://www.gamcare.org.uk/get-advice/what-can-you-do/self-exclusion#.VCAw1PldXww
If that doesn't work, go to the Home Page & Get Advice.
There is also advice on blocking software available on the site (K9 is free)...Your ISP provider may also be able to support this. No point limiting online accounts, they need to be shut down & access prevented.
It's great that he has agreed to counselling but he should be the one finding this information out, it's not your mess to be fixing. I know you only came here with a question but now you are here, have a read around. The better armed you are, the better placed you are to support him without taking all the strain...This is tough on us, it's even tougher for you, our loved ones! So make sure you look after you - ODAAT
If he visits the shop he can fill in a self exclusion form , all he needs is passport or driving license , they usually do this for 3-5 years
Affected by gambling?
