During a conversation about our relationship my bf said to me 'I want you in my life but I don't need you in my life' It has been playing on my mind ever since, what an odd thing to say. Opinions on this please!
Sounds like its about control - his way of saying lets get back together but I am the boss
I dont know. is is better be wanted than needed?!? I can see two sides to this phrase.
What has this do to with gambling
Hi gf, stop, think about you not him. He's buying time, hoodwinking you. You said he's offering no comfort, you said it was over, you said it was making you ill. Do you want a life of lies and second guessing? He's now making you question everything he says, mind games. This is about you, if you don't stand by your ultimatum he wins. Read up about addiction and manipulation. You end up questioning your own sanity. Don't let him turn it back on you. Be careful. You're offended or flattered by a flippant comment, but forget about the lies and deceit? This is harsh I know but I have heard many stories from my cg, others in gamanon rooms, cgs in open meetings. I've heard comments 'oh my cgs not that bad' I've seen that look 'I'm not like you, I'm not going to be here in 10 years' . All situations are different all cgs are different, but they're all addicts and they're all at different stages of denial, admission, recovery, relapse. Don't lose sight of you.
