Acceptance came in 2016 for me when I won a large sum of money in which 2/3s of I handed to my father. I gambled the other 1/3rd and then kept asking my father for money. My father told me you have a gambling problem and then I just admitted to myself in agreement yes I have a gambling problem and need to seek help.
that Thursday coming nov 2016 I walked in a GA meeting. Yes I had many relapses during that time but life has improved about 1000% because I accepted I had a problem and I needed to work to improve myself as well as staying gamble free.
thanks for the post

Hi all. It’s only been six months since I realised that the turmoil of financial trading over 20 years had taken every hard earned cent the acceptance part was having to stop fooling myself that I was professional and talented at trading
Family and friends always thought I was the clued in technology wise guy and we play up to that illusion for over 20 years I did not see how the set up of the system was becoming casino like the old stocks shares business model replaced with bookie style websites
Not fully accepted yet that I have lost my other job as it was so it’s left a huge chasm in life but being on here is helping immensely. Best
Thank you for sharing your story and responding to the weekly topic!
