Hi there,

I just wondered if you have ever had any feedback with regards to viewing this forum on an IPad. I get very strange things occurring when trying to type a forum post, the cursor can jump around. It can be hard to enter into a new line or edit a word on the page for example. Sometimes I will be typing and nothing appears also. I wonder if I am alone in getting these issues?

Cheers

Scott

I'm sorry to hear that Scott. We have not heard of anyone having an issue with accessing the forum on iPad. We'd be grateful if anyone else on the forum who uses an iPad can give us some feedback on this thread.

Best wishes

It’s bad on my iPhone X too. Entering a new line is almost impossible, often taking the cursor back to the start of the post

I do get issue when I have written a post and before posting I re-read and if I want to make alterations the cursor dispears and makes it difficult to edit

Just to add, I updated the software on my iPhone a couple of weeks ago. Since then, the forum section headings (e.g. "Overcoming Problem Gambling" etc.) appear only on the leftermost side of the screen, only a few characters wide and thus stretching down the screen. The wordwrapping makes the headings unreadable.

Not sure if your software has been updated to reflect the latest Apple software upgrades...?

Editing posts on an iPhone has alays been a bit of a pain, as Oldham and others in this thread have found. It can be done, but it's a bit cumbersome.

I know that this will be passed onto the forum manager and I know that this could take weeks to solve but I, too, have had problems entering my post today on my iPad. This never happened in the past.

Hello NT,

Thanks for the feedback, I will bring it to the attention of the forum manager. You can email forumadmin@gamcare.org.uk if you want to share more details about what happened, for example whether it coincided with particular software updates on your iPad, or if you want to share screen shots showing any visible problems with the GamCare webpages as they display on your device.

Thanks again,

Forum admin.

Just typed this on IPad took me 4 attempts...

Making Forum posts was and still is practically impossible from an iPad!!

Clearly no-one from the dev team has ever tested this, as they would instantly discover:

- text disappears off screen

- line breaks not spaced correctly

- mouse dissapears

- tiny letterbox input area

etc

Hello,

The text entry problems are still exactly the same? See previous post above.

Simply get an iPad out and try entering a post with 30-300 words, not easy.
