Query -
I can only say for my self but if you come across this site, it's probably because your at your lowest ebb and reaching out to people, who get it ?Â
If, that's an appropriate statement, then my Query is why do you go into moderation when entering into a new topic in the forum ?
Gamsmumsnet?
Dear PrS,
Thanks for getting in touch with your feedback. We understand it can be frustrating if your initial posts are not up immediately.
The GamCare forum is moderated to facilitate peer support, and maintain a supportive environment for those using it. Every new user will find that their first post(s) on the Forum will need to be moderated by our Forum Admin before they are approved. This is done in the spirit of the Forum, to minimise spam posts as much as possible and prevent inappropriate or distressing content. With this in mind, moderation is a temporary measure and first posts should be approved within 24 hours, usually quicker.
This is outlined in our Chatroom and Forum Etiquette here: https://www.gamcare.org.uk/get-support/group-chatroom/chatroom-and-forum-etiquette/
Best regards,
Forum Admin
Hello Absentee,
The pre-moderation of intial posts helps us to protect our forum members from malicious spam posts, for example posts advertising illegal sites.
If anyone needs an immediate response, we invite you to contact our 24 hour freephone 0808 8020 133 or contact our 24 hour live chat, so that we can provide you with immediate support.
Take care,
Adam.
It is definitely not very pleasant that messages are moderated at first, but I think that this is just the usual protection against spam. Previously, was a member of another forum and was forced to leave it due to the large amount of spam.
