Hi Gamcare,

I'm writing about the Gamcare website refresh put in place today (Aug 15th). First impressions? It's good. A bit more slick, in a good way. You've resisted sharing certain metrics that would unwisely turn the Forums into a 'contest'; this site is about recovery, not popularity of posts or threads. It's crucial to recognise that it's not about 'how many people respond to a post' - it's about treating every one as an individual; every single post counts. Gamcare must never lose sight of this and not be seduced by too many 'gizmos'.

In my opinion, overall, the changes are for the better. It's good to have a refresh now and then, and, personally, I think it makes for a better site.

One comment though. When referring to the Chatrooms, the non-niche events are referred to as "General Chatroom". It's a bit generic, that. This is a chatroom for everyone. How about: "Chatroom: Let's talk!" or "Chatroom: Open to Everyone".  'General Chatroom' seems a bit too sanitised, IMHO.

But, heck, what do I know. It would certainly be interesting to canvass views from fellow Forum compatriots. What say you? 🙂

Hi, sorry but I don't like the new website. Before when logging on you could see most recent posts straight away which, to me, was great as you could see peoples updates and more importantly, new people reaching out and possibly being able to help them. Now I don't know how you can do this, a simple menu button "RECENT POSTS" would be really helpful
