Hi gibbly. I'm sorry noone has saw ur thread yet but I'm sure u will be offered some good advice.

We are all in the same boat and u will get lots of support.

Well done for admitting your problem. It's a big step and takes guts.

I'm starting off afresh after a year and a half of being sorted so I'm not qualified to tell u how to fix this. I am however here if u want to rant or talk. Good luck hun x

hi gibbly,

It may be advisable to discuss your depression with your GP.

I don't know what your housing situation is right now (are you homeless ?) but you obviously need to talk to someone about that as well.

Use K9 to block online gambling on all your devices. Download it (free) and get someone else to set the password.

Discuss your gambling with Gamcare. You can seek free counselling via them.

Put your finances in the hands of a trusted relative.

You definitely need to get these strong measures in place to prevent you from gambling.

You can turn this situation around with some determination and the right help.

Best wishes.

Hi All,

I'm 26 years of age i've been gambling for the past 4years and I'm totally sick of it now I've finally had enough. I finally realised that its down to me to change my ways and no one else. I have put my family through hell over the past 4years...Lying Lying and even more Lies just to get my hands on money to waste in on a FOBT... I just admitted to my girlfriend and mother my problem and I feel so much better its untrue..This is the first step to recovery and with your help and support I can get through each day...

Thank you all

Hi Tobes and Welcome,

Please look at my previous post for some ideas.

Going to local GA meetings could be beneficial.

You could also consider joining the 2015 Challenge on the Forum.

Exercise and sport can be a great aid to keeping your mind off gambling as well.

It's very much one day at a time but the gambling free days soon mount up. You'll find it's all worthwhile and the feeling of freedom after a while is fantastic.

Best Wishes.
