Hello rabby84,
Welcome to the Forum.
Well done for reaching out and making your first post. You have insight that your issues may be linked together this is a great first few steps. It sounds like you can also use wanting to maintain good relationships with those around you as a motivator for change. If you are in Great Britain you can call the National Gambling Helpline on 0808 8020 133 any time and speak in more detail to an Advisor.
Wishing you some supportive peer responses soon.

@forum-admin thanks. Long journey starts now. 2 days gambling free so far
Hey Rabby
admitting that cross addiction is hard and trying to give up everything at once is even harder.
its definitely all interlinked and been my escapism for years. The amount of 30+ hr benders I’ve indulged in over the past 4 years is chronic and the feeling of shame and despair is even worse. When I’m in that ‘zone’ it’s almost like I’m possessed. I can’t be talked out or down until everything is gone and then I slowly crash back to reality and the severity of what I’ve done fine hits. Cue not eating, sleep deprivation and even more depression until I repeat the cycle again.
im on Day 17 today and its been a long slog but so worth it.Â
keep going Rammy, I’ll keep checking in.
