It has now been 21 days since the last time i gambled , i have noticed i have alot more free time on my hands , i have managed to do the gardening , watch tv without staring at my phone for updates on scores. I did actually enjoy the football yesterday to , far more relaxing without money on the games.
I know its only 21 days but my mind is more clear and focussed on what matters. I found the first 7 days the worse , lots of urges my advice keep busy during these times, now i have become more stubborn 21 days done and want more days , weeks , months , years to be gamble free.
I've wrote this , to keep a record of how i am feeling, to tell myself i can beat this , everyone can beat this horrible destructive addiction.

You are so right by the way as this is day 6 for me and I have struggled this last week trying to keep my mind busy but I havent gone back and I havent gambled and I really don't want to I have had to put my phone out of my sight so I can actually focus on other things then my phoneÂ
It's really hard but with this site and everyone's story I know I can do this just need to keep my mind activeÂ

@juicyj I agree reading the forum on this site helps in a few ways , keeping you busy and also engaging with others with the same issues, it makes you want to beat the addiction. I also found on youtube some good videos of gambling addicts and there stories. Well done on your journey so far, i'm determined this time not to go back.
@gerard-g Thank you, keeping busy and happy ive got through another bank holiday weekend without gambling, the first week was the tougher as ended up being at the easter break.
