Hello,
Just thought I'd say hi, since gambling is clearly the number one problem for me right now, just binged and lost much more than I could afford to lose, I have money put aside, but I'm scared if I pay off my overdrafts I'll just gamble again, I don't know, I'm a uni student so maybe I can try get support from student wellbeing, trying to refer with everywhere I can right now, my best friend and mum knows I have a problem, last time my mum lent me money to pay my debts.
I'm gamstopped, but I got around it by using someone elses identify, at least the only person who knows my problem won't give me a picture of their id again.
just kinda venting here, sorry
🙁
Dear @rodjim ,
Welcome to the Forum and thank you for posting.
Please don't apologise for venting here. There is lots of support and advice here so please continue to share your story.
I think your idea of talking to student welfare or student support at uni is a great one. Hopefully, having someone else to talk to will help.
In the meantime, if you wish to talk to one of our advisers on helpline (0808 802 0133) or netline, we are available for 24 hours a day, seven days week.
All the very best
