Hi guys, just after a bit of advice. I am 99% I already know what response I'm going to get.
Well here goes... I joined Gamstop on Feb 3rd 2019 for 6 months.
So a few weeks later I come into a bit of cash so gave in. I looked on site at all the participating companies and low and behold White Hat Gaming (casino heroes) wasn't on the list.
So I logged into my account and foolishly wasted over £300 down the drain.
Well I tries again to log in on 26th Feb, got the message "you have chosen to self exclude" etc etc.
So I'm livid at that point speaks to live chat and they ask me to send an email to support.
I expressed my concerns and got the response
Thank you for your email. I can confirm that your account with Casino Heroes was blocked upon your first login attempt after we joined Gamstop, on February 26th at 12:22:50 CET (Central European Time).
We only joined Gamstop on February 26th at 8 AM CET (Central European Time), so your account would not have been locked before this time.
Because of this, we kindly deny your request for any refunds prior to this date.
What do you think guys, should I cut my losses or take it further??
Thanks in advance
If they put it in writing it must be true. Cut ur losses and start again. You need to have the will power to not search for sites that aren't registered with it. They are probably all the worst ones anyway and aren't regulated in UK so would probably garauntee you losing money with them anyway. I heard that all companies will be registered with gamstop soon. If I was u in six months time id sign up to five years just my opinion I may be wrong.

You said yourself they weren't on the list when you looked. You lost money and they joined after as many continue to do. The fact is you was going to lose that money somewhere from what you wrote. We don't get our money back. You need to want to stop, not look for sites and gamstop for 6 months isn't the full commitment you could have made to that blocker alone.
I know you know this really. If you want the help and advice with stopping its out there you just have to ask for it but more importantly want it.
All the best.
Hi louwazmadz,
Welcome to the forum, and thanks for sharing your story.
It seems like White Hat Gaming (casino heroes) have responded to you in a way that didn’t sit well with you. For that matter, it seems like you’re not happy with their response.
In case it’s still bothering you, then I suggest you contact the Gambling Commission on: 0121 230 6666 for their say and decision on the matter.
Kind regards,
Beatrice
You don’t have to wait for the six months to expire before you extend the exclusion. You can phone and extend it st any time. Best wishes
Unfortunately I do not think you have anything to complain about.
You chose to go on a site that you deliberately pick out after discovering it was not covered by Gamstop. This was not some spur of the moment thing, it must have taken some research. I know this because I did a very similar thing when I relapsed last year. Gamstop is a great tool and will improve as more sites are added but we need to accept that the gambling industry has not suddenly become a charity - it is still the same morally corrupt business making hundreds of millions of pounds for its owners out of people like us.
My advice is sign up for 5 years and work out how you can put additional blocks in place. My downfall was paypal as I always saw it as hidden money. Can you put some extra blocks in place to prevent this happening again - how come you had access to £300 that you could gamble?
Take care
