For the second month in row i have gambled away my whole pay check. I get paid on the 30th and by the 1st i dont have a cent

Had to organise things with my landlord again, lies lies lies, lets not forget my fiancГ©. We are suppose to be saving for the wedding and what do i do...just gamble it all away.

I live in china and i am from south africa and suppose to not only be saving up for the wedding but also save to be able to go back home in a couple years with enough to buy a small business.

I had to tell my fiancГ© at first i thoughti would just lie and make up a story but she saw thru and i spilled the beans. After last month i obviously promised her it would never happen again and all of that but ince again i lied, she's not talking to me, i recommended this site to her, hopefully it can make her understand that it's a real addiction.

This is not the first time this has happened i have done all of this before and i have been clean for about 6 months, then i stumbled upon this online casino that accepts my chinese bank card and downhill from there.

My dad is addicted to gambling and it's destroying him and he refuses help and i really dont want to end up like him...

Your right J.P, for some this can be life or death. Have you thought about getting help from other sources like Gamblers Anonymous or other support groups? Might be worth trusting your money with someone else too?

I have always been in denial basically.
Being in china now i don't really know the first thing about how to join a support group here and i have trusted someone else with my money before and i just end up getting a way to put money on online sites.
I really dont know what to do, i know i have to quit or else i will ruin my life but as i am typing this i have the urge to put more money on to try and win back some of my losses.

Hi J.P.

Please ring gamcare as many times as you like as the one to one voice will be extremely helpful

You are at the stage now where you do need to hand your finances over to your fiance. You then need to work together to get all the blocks in place. It could well be that you are not to have access to gadgets until you have had some counselling. You are not in control so you must reach out for all the help you can get

The people close to you need to see some action now or you may lose them. You should ideally be living on a sandwich and petrol allowance. You must break the time money location or you will continue to gamble. If you are finding new ways to secretly gamble you must discuss how strong the urges are with the people close.

Gambling will destroy you given half a chance so you must stop completely. You need to talk it through and try and rationalise your behaviour. The point there is that you cant because its an illness of the mind linked with addiction.

A chat with the doctor is a great idea but I dont know what counselling services they offer there

The addiction is strong but you can beat it.

Being gamble free is a lovely feeling and I hope you will now put the strong measures in place to join us

Best wishes from everyone on the forum
