Hello to all and thanks for reading this.

I have been in recovery for many years and always fail. I've wasted the last 19 years of my life gambling with nothing to show for it but broken relationships, hardship, pain and suffering.

I wonder why I do this to myself but once you accept you have a problem and that it's a serious problem that needs addressing immediately, nothing meaningful will change.

I have today come here to say that I accept I have a problem and I will make meaningful change starting today. My last relapse was 4months ago and a year before that. I have been able to fight this but this time around I got too comfortably and slipped up.

I'm writing this because for anyone reading this that thinks they cannot quit you are wrong. You can quit, you can do this. It takes an enormous effort and day by day it gets easier. The negative emotions begin to fade and important decisions can be made with a clear head.

I will use my own experiences to start the road to recover again today. I pray for strength and if needs be will take it minute by minute untill hour by hour and until day by day.

Well said mate. Any slip is a learning process. You can do this. You’ve already shown that. Find the leaks and lock them down. Don’t give yourself the opportunity to gamble.
Stay strong 💪
