Well after a few months of being gamble free I found myself getting back into the word of gambling...
It started on a cruise - where I got sucked into playing the slots. The worst thing was that I won; then I hit that very slippery slope.
I had self excluded from all the Bookies in my area, but there were two new ones which had opened, and I went in yesterday and threw four figures in the machine, to win a maximum of £xxx.
My problem is that I need to play the Premium Play type games for me to feel like its worth it; I dont get the same buzz playing a standard £2 stake, which is absolute craziness, and means that deposits disappear very very quickly.Â
So I have just gotten off the phone to the self exclusion people, and added the two shops to my profile. I am reasonably lucky in that I live on an island, so its not as simple as getting in a car and driving an hour to a bookie I am not excluded with.
So back to day 1 - and today I will not gamble; but it is still very much in the forefront of my mind!
See you at the bar.
Don't beat yourself up about it. We all can have relapses. I know I have. Good that you've put the exclusions in place.Just keep all the restrictions and go day by day.Â
