Hey Lizzie, thanks for the support! I hope you’re doing well in your journey too! Officially 1 month gambling free today! I just feel brilliant! I have absolutely no desire to gamble, love my wife and still not getting complacent. Budgeting this month has gone really well! I’ve been on a Stag Do to Poland and I’m still going to have money left at the end of the month! This is a very unusual outcome! Feels great!

Will be day 30 tomorrow! Keeping small steps so my next landmark will be day 35 as that’ll signify 5 weeks! Good luck everyone!

day 33 today!! i feel more and more distant from the memory of being a gambler, what i mean is that i think about it less and less. it isnt part of my daily routine and whereas in the past i'd always be planning my day with gambling in it, now it feels normal to have a day without it.

i have this constant voice in my head though, bringing me back to reality that i'm only ever one bad decision away from the start of a spirral! i know though that the personal loss a relapse would cause would cost me more than could be subsidised by any gambling win! this helps me remain grounded and non complacent! home alone today while the wife is working. i'm feeling quite comfortable in my own company, dotting around the house, not looking to break my streak! still feeling positive, never complacent! good luck everyone!

Dear Chris1406,

Well done on 36 days gamble free! That's an amazing acheivement, and also it's great to see you are making the most of the support on the forum and writing down your progress day by day. This will be a great resource to look back on to reflect on your acheivements and to help you through those times when you might not feel as strong.

Now that you have been using the forum for a while, you might want to think about starting a thread over in Recovery Diaries, a continuation of this one, as that section is where forum users tend to journal their recovery day to day.

Keep posting,

Deirdre
