Hi Fay,

My initial thoughts are you should seek counselling via Gamcare (free). Maybe speak to your GP about medication or tweaking existing meds ?

Block devices with K9 (free) and get a relative to set password and keep it secret.

Maybe put your finances in the hands of a relative so you cannot gamble when you get urges.

Others may post ideas as well.

Take Care Now.

Hi It is so tough to stop and the way this country is gambling is everywhere which is like growing smack in the local park and telling drug addicts not to touch it. We are addicts in the same boat but we have to want to stop the destruction. Im facing some mega problems at the moment I could even end up in the clink for taking money from the business I partly own but to be honest the biggest problem of all is this one as this is the one that can end up destroying you and everyone you love.

I went to a mindfulness meeting last night which was great. Really good meditation helps you manage thoughts and focus, also been to my second counselling session today, another one next week and im back on the sertraline which also helps me with depression, not sure if its true but i think most gambling addicts either start because they are depressed or the depression comes when they start either way its not a great place to be in.

You can do it, talk to people, the gambling thoughts will always float around but refocus on now and be positive.

All the best with your efforts.
