Best of luck with your recovery. It won’t be an easy road ahead, but with the determination to succeed I hope you come out on top. Best Wishes

Dear Jon,

Thank you for your Forum Post and well done on beginning your journey to recovery. Acknowledging that you have a problem with gambling is often the hardest part but it isn't always easy to know what to do next.

There is a lot of advice and support available Jon; some practical, like gambling blocks such as self-exclusion and limiting access to money to gamble but also treatment support which can help you to look at the bigger picture of why you may have been gambling or what has kept you gambling over the last few years. It can help to understand what your triggers for gambling may have been and to get support around any underlying issues in your life that may be contributing factors.

If you would like to talk more about this and to find out about other ways in which we might support you please do contact our helpline on 0808 8020 133 or our net line (live chat) both of which are available 24 hours a day.

In the meantime please keep posting and let us know how you are getting on.

Wishing you all the very best,

Helen
