I gambled again for the 1st time in 5 years, no excuses but my dad died 6 months ago and probably not dealt with that. Gambling gave me a day not thinking about my dad

5 years is a massive achievement so you should be proud, i understand why a relapse would happen unfortunately life has alot of twist and turns as i did something similar after 3 years being bet free only way forward is to keep putting blocks in place the addiction never goes away, am currently on 586 days g/f coming on here for me minimises the risk

Hi there.  I did the same after 5 years and Idid not renew my Gamstop exclusion. Slowly but surely, what followed the following 4 months was yet more losses, yet more debt and yet more anxiety!👎.

My emotions or certainty anxiety around wishing I had more money/trying to earn more money, would often lead me to trying my hand at a “quick fix” by gambling. I am sure you know where that got me.  I now realise that the good old fashioned way is the best - just save a little and often and see it mount up.  I get more joy from this nowadays and I am now currently 321 days g.f.

You can do this again. You have shown great strength over the past five years.  Make your Dad proud of your strength of character 💙.

I wish you all the very best.

Pink Lady 🩷🍎.
