I gambled quite a lot, lost about £2000 total in a few years, recently (Casino) and (Website) kept emailing and texting me to play. So the idiot I am I played and now I've lost £410. I spoke with both companys and they said they can't do anything, however I spoke to Natwest and they said I can phone the fraud team and hopefully they will be able to get me my money back even though it was me who gambled it. Is it worth calling them or not? I asked if i'd get into trouble and they said no I wouldn't, and that they have people who deal with this kind of thing.

Thanks for any advice : )

You took the offers designed to draw you in and went on to lose your own money as they hoped. Why is it fraud?

Can't see it being fraud mate, if you'd have won you wouldn't give the money back would you? Just take the hit, learn from your mistake and move on

Good luck

I told natwest that it was me that did everything, and they told me that they can still help to get me my money back. Multiple agents told me the same thing

How do you think its fraud? Its hard to understand what you mean. If you simply gambled and lost its not fraud.

I know it's not fraud, I got suckered in by the company. I told natwest this and they said they can still help me

The moneys gone mate. Its just advertising. You played and you lost. If we could all get our money back none of us would be here.

I know its painful to accept when you've just lost a lot of money but there are no grounds to get it back.

I too can’t see how they would class it as fraud. Unfortunately you made the decision to deposit the money and then gamble. It is hard to accept that you made the decision, as gambling addiction is a disease but ultimately you need to learn how to come to terms with what has happened and look at your next steps moving forward to recovery. Good luck

I would go one step further and say that any attempt to claim the money back WOULD be fraud and could land you in hot water.

As others have said, take the hit and treat it as a lesson. I think a lot of use would happily have spent £2,500 on the knowledge we have now.

It's not fraud, it's your fault you gambled.

Until a gambler accepts responsibility for their actions, they will not be able to quit.

Even if you got your money back this time, you'd do it again and again and again.

Been bailed out a couple of times myself, but that never made me quit for more than a few months.

You need to say enough is enough and set about putting in blocks, exclusions etc to stop these temptations from leading to a loss of money.
