This is my first time here. I am crying out for some support or just to hear other people’s opinions.
I am in a relationship and have been for over 20 years. My partner is a gambler. He has gambled his rent money and other money meaning he depends on me to help him. I have recently started working again, and have had to help him out again. It feels there is no appreciation just expectation. We don’t live together and I really don’t want to move in with someone that I feel will take things for granted. He has asked me to move in plenty of times, but I am scared everything will be on my head. Such as bills. It’s got to the point where it’s effectin my mental health. Each time I try to explain he shouts and his angry I haven’t been back to see him after a couple of weeks. I have this new job which I am happy in, but my relationship is not going well.
Please can people help me out. I really don’t know what to do anymore. He wants to pay off his debts, meaning I have to help him out again. Really love him but he makes things difficult and there is know getting through to him.
