Firstly well done for taking this step. It is not easy to admit that you have a problem and the fact that you have done that is already half the battle. I am not an expert in stopping by a country mile but I am almost a month gamble free and it feels absolutely amazing. I am not sure what your demon is whether it is land based or online but first things first- self exclude from everywhere. Realise that whatever you have lost is gone and you will not get it back. So this is day 1 and from now things will only get better for you if you stop now. There are special blockers for your computer if your problem is that and you can also go to your local bookie/casino/bingo hall and bar yourself. Do all them things and dont look back. Post how you feel each day on a diary here - its amazing how much it helps to do that and remember we are all in the same boat here and we will be there for you all the way through your recovery x Linda
