Guys what have I done?? It all started with a stupid post about a gambling site that had a really good new offer. So I figured why not? You can't really lose with it. But in reality I did lose, but it wasn't so bad. But Im having money issues right now, I actually had a job lined up but I just figured I would bet a little. But then I somehow bet away a grand all in one night?? I have no money now, i cant get to uni for my exam tomorrow, I cant get to my job I dont understand how I did it. I feel like such an idiot, I have no one to turn to till i found this forum. I'm so sad 🙁 I screwed up and i have no one to blame but myself.

Your not alone... im new to this site and i know how you feel. Theres only one winner and it isnt us! Try and stay positive... get a lift from someone to uni. You need to take that exam. Good luck and no more gambling from now on! Good luck in your exam. We all mess up sometimes. Its life. Only you can change your path.

Take it seriously and get help, urgently. You're not the first, only or last to decimate your student loan on the first day of term but you have to face up to the gambling addiction and reach out for the - accurate - help you need. However, bail outs won't help. You need to understand the link between uncontrolled betting and no money.

Call the Helpline here, contact the student services at the uni and/or tell your tutor. Also go to GA.

The help's there, take it.

Don't second guess, tell the Uni. A lot of students have fallen into the same trap, read round these forums.

Also, telling people who need to know is part of recovery. Gambling thrives on secrecy, better to make yourself accountable to outside scrutiny.
