Well here goes.
My name is Debbie, I am 38 and I have an online gambling addiction. It all started a year ago when a friend added me to a site and I had a small win. That win was followed by more and the addict in me reared it’s head. No-one to blame but myself. I have tried and failed to combat my addiction but after yet another gambling spree I have to stop. I simply can’t go on like I am. I am going to work my a*s off to combat this for my beautiful children, my amazing fiancé and myself
Hi debsy, welcome, if it's online gambling you do, I highly suggest you sign up to gamstop and install Gamban on your devices
Good luck and I hope you succeed in becoming gamble free

Hi Debbie and welcome to the forum.
Yes please stop. You must stop gambling for your life to fall into place. I promise you it will once you have all the proper blocks and discussed it with family and friends.
The "wins" dont continue and they dont come again when you need them. I threw thousand upon thousand away for no wins. The winners game is for the bookies and casinos and you must grip that fact now...you are just giving your money away to them on those odds
Its not the answer to what you seek and you really know its not an income scheme. I feel you know that the money you are trying for makes no real difference but the losses certainly do.
No you simply cant go on as you are. Gambling destroys people...it destroys their relationships and everything about them. Its a monumental, national scandal and it makes the PPI scandal etc look like cakewalks.
Your post shows early days. It is a drug addiction and there are certainly others to blame but you cant deal with that right now.
I need to get through to you. Gamble free you will have money and you can focus on. You were already a winner in so many ways. A small base of money makes other money and you can tick over nicely with a rainy day fund.
You will have control and a serenity. Yes life isn't easy for most of us but its infinitely harder with a gambling addiction spiraling you down to ruin.
Phone Gamcare again, keep talking as there is absolutely no shame in admitting and asking for help.
Best wishes from everyone on the forum
