!Hi, my names Ryan!

I remember the first time gambling a few years back when I was 19... it was in a casino in London.. I won a small amount but to me it was new and exciting and you think in your mind you can do this every time!

I had a few more trips there and didn’t enjoy it so I quit going, but then soon discovered online gambling which is so easy and quick to use! I then had a few bad spells of loosing money, then quit altogether, it was on and off for around 4 Years! Online gambling recently has became a major problem in my life, I’ve became addicted.. I cancel plans, don’t talk to my friends and family as much.. it’s like I’m shutting off from the world.

Hi, my problems have also solely been with online gambling and the best thing i have ever done is put blocks on my laptop , phone, tablet etc, this means that when i feel the urge to gamble and try to log into a gambling website it is impossible to do so, i have found this to be a great help in my recovery, would also recommend telling someone close to you about your problems as keeping things bottled up is never good also if you can limit your acess to money as without it available you cant gamble ...... just thought i would share a few of the things that have helped me i am sure others will post to you with more help and advice, well done on taking the first step by coming on here you could even give gamcare a ring to arrange some free councilling ... all the best

Hi Ryan you need to get some help. Call gamcare, GA meeting. Download online blocks (k9,gamban). Tell someone close to you. Don't ignore it. This is progressive and gets worse as time goes on. You cannot win because you cannot stop. You've recognised the problem now you have to get help. Good luck.
