I've gambled for 14 years since the age of 18. I've tried so many times to give up, months go past and I think all is ok, than go back to bad habits. The money is an important factor, but its the missed opertunities and memories thats haunt me. Something different this time. I'm not stressed. I'm not depressed, I'm just tiered of it all. My quality of life has just got so low. I have so many dreams and a long bucket list. I can't go back. Not just giving up gambling, I've got to change my life from the bottom up.

Yes it definitely does wear us down trying to come back from self inflicted gambling damage. All the stress and headaches and robbing Peter to pay Paul, what an awful waste of our time. Have you had a good read around the forums and worked out an action plan to follow this time? Might be worth some counselling or some group therapy with GA or joining some kind of club to invest your time in more wisely.

Yes gambling can be emotionally tiring not only financially and can affect our well being as well as our health. Its good that you are recognising it like allainepo says work on a resonable plan to fix yourself i.e. ga,counselling etc.. and most importantly control of your finances you need to remove all the things that make you want to gamble and try to put the tools in place that help you focus on positive things that can make you happy because gambling definately makes us unhappy. But remember dont do everything in one go it takes time and patience which is key providing you are consistence in your recovery it can get better and you will see results.promise yourself you will no longer gamble and invest time in you good luck.
