Hi just joined today,

My husband recently relapsed with gambling after 5 years and a larger amount this time. I'm gutted he couldn't speak to me about it even after I've helped him through previously. We got our lives back on track and I thought everything was going great. I'm trying my best to think he stopped before and we worked through it so we can do it again but I don't know what triggered the relapse and the lies destroy you! He sort help for the debt and has a payment plan in place, we've done all the practical stuff its the emotional side that's hitting hard and waiting for support with that. I don't want to give up on him I just hope I'm doing the right thing for both of us and not just putting off the pain of our marriage possibly failing ?

Hi jog,

Thankyou for sharing your story with us. It sounds like your husbands recent relapse has been really difficult for you.

If you haven't already, I would recommend contacting us on the helpline on 0808 8020 133 or via our netline service. We would be more than happy to chat things through with you and see if we can offer you any support for what you are going through.

Best wishes,

Nathan
