Hi I am new to this but I must do something , its time to change only today I blew £270 on the slots . at one point I was £410 up now ive done it again and put my hard earned cash into the machines. I need to change if I count how much I've wasted over the years it would have sent my kids to Disney 3 x over.I often feel down and disappointed with my self after I've done it. In the past my wife found out and I promised never to do it again however I have broken that promise and can not talk to her about it . any advice ?

gamecare and breakeven have helped me change my life. I had to want to change. I feel like I'm going to preach and I don't want to do that so I'll try again another day. I've lost my old gamecare online diary and I'd rather tell that xx

Not sure where to post so trying here. Please move to appropriate area.

Hi Smithy,

A very warm welcome to the forum.

It sounds like it is time to do something about your gambling problem and we are all here to help.

Feel free to call our Helpline on 0808 8020133 or the Netline http://www.gamcare.org.uk/netline and one of our adviser will be able to offer you more help and support. We can also refer you to counselling if that is something you would find useful.

Stopping a gambling problem is not easy and you need all the help and support available.

Keep posting

Warm regards

Catarina

Hi Smithy,

I'm exactly the same.

Yesterday I won £750 but then just spent it all again!! What makes it worse is I spent over £200 to get this.

No-one knows of my gambling but I have come on here because I need to stop also as I know it's crazy. It's crazy to get into debt to gamble and the lies. It goes against everything I stand for but I just keep spending!

I gave up drinking in January so I know I'm strong but just have an addictive nature I supposed but the forum really helped me then so thats why I've decided to come on here.

Maybe we can help each other as other peoples strength can really spur you on 🙂
