Thought I would say hello. Probably a bit of a long read, but it feel’s good to get it off my chest.
I’m a compulsive gambler that has blown thousands over the years. For me it’s online slots that’s always been the attraction, but would never contemplate walking into a bookies which makes it hard to understand.
I’ve almost lost everything through gambling over the years, I’ve hidden my problem for far too long. I’ve self excluded myself from all online casino’s and made sure that there are no “Temptations”
I just feel so angry with myself for doing it and putting those I love through it. I have seen this site a few times and read post previously but was always too scared to admit my problem but pushed myself to post here tonight.
Hopefully I’ve started on my way to getting through this, although I know I’ll have this addiction hanging over me for life.

Hiya, hope you feel a bit better for getting your feelings down in writing. I only struggled with online stuff, couldn't give a hoot about bookies or casinos, once I put GAMSTOP in place it stopped my problem straight away so I would strongly advise you to do similar. Good luck on your journey, Si.

Online was my thing to it dint feel like I was spending real money was all to easy to clear my account each month in a hour , I choose gamstop and excluded for five years if their had of been a longer option I would of picked that , depending on wat bank your with you can block gambling transactions that way to , theirs some good treatment options to have u spoke to a adviser threw gamcare yet ?
