My petition:
Stop filling our towns and city's with gambling premises.
our towns and city's are being dominated by betting shops. the gambling act 2005 is failing to protect vulnerable people due to the sheer number of gambling premises available . Community's are being destroyed and lives ruined due to gambling.
Please please sign and share as much as you all can.

Hi Harry , I think it's because the forum is funded largely by the gambling companies , Gamcare are prepared for it only to be used as a recovery tool and not as a lobbying place against those companies . ( I think )
That's a shame i think more needs to be done to curb the availability of gambling, for example does every high street in the uk really need 5+ bookmakers in it? Does every advert in a sports match have to be urging you to lay an in play bet, no it doesn't! If the bookmakers fund this website surely they will see the pain and misery it causes a lot of people and do something to sort it out!! Rant over....

I agree but it's all about buisiness and allowing different companies to open up in the same area , otherwise it starts involving the monopolies commission , It's a bit like having having a Coffee addiction and we all know how many coffee chains are in one high street , except that coffee is far cheaper and causes a lot less heartache !

Unfortunately it's a way of life now and believe it or not people do gamble for fun but we can't because we are addicted the gambling industry employ a large amount of people and he gpvernment make a lot of money through taxes on it. It's the way it is. We are the ones who force our money over the counter we at won't made to do it. I envy the people who can spend 1 pound 10 pound even 20 a week on football or sports etc and do it for fun we can't
