I'm addicted to online slot machine games, I can usually stop for a few days and then I'll tell myself I'll just play 20 . . .if I lose that it's not the end of the world but then I'll deposit more to try and win back what I've lost 🙁 I've put limits on the amount I can deposit but I'll end up just setting up new accounts so I can still play. I've had to borrow money from family when I've lost large amounts of money and it makes me feel so guilty for lying to them about why I need the money. Yesterday I received a new bank card after mine expired and I couldn't resist setting up a new account and I actually won a good few hundred pounds and managed to stop and withdraw it. If I can stop now my accounts quite healthy and as a single mum I really need to stop now before I just lose it again. I just always seem to get lured back with free credits and offers and the urge is definitely worse when I'm feeling down. I've had a tough few years, my husband left while I was pregnant and I had a one year old and I wonder if feeling down is making the gambling worse? I've set up an appointment with my doctor next week and I'm going to try and admit everything and see if that helps. Sorry if I'm babbling but this is the first time I've tried a site like this.

Hi Jane, I am the same. I am addicted to online fruit machines too. I have been clean for 3 days now and am determined to succeed. I do have intentions of gambling again one day and maybe that is one way, where I can satisfy the urges. I logged onto my account several times yesterday and each time, logged off again.
Keep it going girl and be strong - shall we challenge each other? we can log in each day and declare how well we are doing?
Steve
Hi Steve,
The last time I played was on Friday, I played 150 and won 400 on one site and 80 on another and won 300. I logged on last night and the 400 was available to reverse because it hasn't gone through yet and I was soooo tempted to play but I didn't. I've told myself I'm going to close all the accounts once my winnings have been paid but then I think I might get some free credits and I could win something from those without actually gambling . . .
I'll logo ado on tomorrow and see how your doing 🙂
Hi Jane, treat yourself and your family with something from the winnings. I have been tempted several times today but when I feel the urge, I log onto this site and read the forum entries. It helps me a lot.
I hate it when those sites give the option to reverse winnings - I invariably do reverse! However, no more! I also get lots of free credits but wont be depositing anymore. I will then contact the sites and get them to close my accounts.
Keep strong
x
Received a couple of free bonuses today, played them and lost. Didn't deposit tho 🙂
well done mate. no bonuses for me but no deposits either
Arrggh straight after my last post I went online and played a tenner, lost it and played another twenty, lost and kept going to try and win it back until I got to seventy. Thank god I won it back and managed to stop but if I hadn't I prob would have kept on trying 🙁
be strong mate.
just think of what you can do with the 70 - spend it on me lol!
Should of spent it on you lol lost 150' last night 🙁 have self excluded from as many sites as I can
Hello Jane47,
Well done on continuing to use the forum.
Many of our forum members have mentioned that in addition to self-excluding from the gambling sites that they've used, they've also installed a browser that filters gambling sites, on the device that they use to go online, so when they're online it isn't so easy to get on another gambling site. If you use a device that uses Windows then these filters may be compatible:

Cmon Jane - stick with me on this. Lets make a deal not to play and report as often as we can. When you think of depositing again, log onto here and leave me a message. I will do the same
Steve
I only have an iPad, don't think there is any software available but I have self excluded now so I'm hoping that will help. Have an appointment on Monday with the doctor so will see if that helps. Think the worst time for me is in the evening so I'm making sure the battery on my iPad has ran down to make it harder to go online
Hi Steve
I'm hoping losing again last night might have helped in a way, I don't think I'm ever going to be able to just play the odd tenner and stop sooo no more free games or free credits got to go cold turkey 🙁
How are you coping? X
I received a bonus today, played it . . And another 40 🙁 have shut the account down. Dunno why I do it 🙁
Affected by gambling?
