Good evening friends. Busy day. Monday blues as usual! When I am prime minister I will give everyone a monday off! However, no thoughts of gambling and feeling stronger by the day. Longest period of time for me being gf was 92 days about 8 years ago. Then, I got complacent and thought I could go back to gambling 'just for fun!' I wont make that mistake again.I cannot win because I cannot stop!

Good evening friends. Work problems today. In the past I would have made myself feel better with a large bet tonight to forget the troubles of the day. That would lose and I would feel worse. Happy that I can see the light. Another day gf!

Hi Marcella,

Been great reading your story! 34 days GF today is such an achievement. Tomorrow is my 8th day GF, looking forward to getting that number up to double figures like yours. Keep up the great work!

Matt

Good evening friends. Very cold day. Not as cold as the shiver running down my spine when I continually lost all my wages! Pay day tomorrow. I dont have my daughter so, as is my new routine for a weekend now, I am keeping myself very busy. 35 days gf and still very positive.

Good evening friends. January has disappeared for another year and I am glad to say I never gambled in that month. Probably the first time in 30 years!! It's a big sporting weekend, 6 nations, football and super bowl! I would normally have had a blow out weekend, all weekend gambling, winner some and losing more, losing a lot and chasing the losses or maybe just winning!! This weekend I will be content watching the sporting spectacles as a neutral. My new found freedom has taught me a good lesson... I don't need to bet to enjoy sport!

Good afternoon friends. Missed my daily post yesterday as I was out and full of the beer!! Suffering for it today! However my hangover cure would normally be a large bet on the football to make myself feel worse!! Not today though, been up and out to try and clear the fuzzy head! I remain gf!!

Good evening friends. Another tough day, nothing to do with gambling though. The urges haven't been as strong lately. Reading other people's threads is always so humbling and makes me realise how strong we all need to be. I do not have the answers, I do not have the cure, all I have is the need to change. For 41 days I know that change is working for me. Stand tall everyone.

A father was teaching his children about life. He said to them.."A fight is going on inside me. It's a terrible fight and it's between two wolves. One wolf represents fear, anger, hatred, envy, sorrow, regret, greed, arrogance, self pity, guilt, resentment, inferiority and ego. The other wolf stands for joy, peace, love, hope, sharing, serenity, humility, kindness, benevolence, friendship, empathy, generosity, truth, compassion and faith. The same fight is going on inside you and inside every other person too!" They children thought about it for a minute and then one child asked..."Which wolf will win?" The father simply replied..."The one that you feed!"
