1996 lost everything through gambling, ended up bankrupt!! 2006 after working like a dog to recover did the same again, lost everything. 2015 after working like a pack of dogs to get something back I have done the same again. Lost well into six figures this year on wages, loans and remortgage, and over seven figures in my lifetime. I have nothing, after 34 years of gambling and 32 years of working non stop, I have nothing. 🙁

Jack what help have you been getting? counselling, GA?

You could start by ringing Gamcare

No family, luckily, other than elderly parents and a sick brother so can't really involve them. I need to ring someone. This is a massive first step although I have the demons on my shoulder cause it's US open golf week. How sick that I have those thoughts instead of doing someone a good turn or being creative!! Today is 1 day clean. Sounds silly but first day without a bet in over 12 months

First day without a bet in over 12 months. That's a great first step. Make it to 2 days and I'll see you here tomorrow night. Then we'll start building from there to 5, 10 and upwards. See you here tomorrow Jack!

First day is a big step, especially after so long in a gambling routine. Stay strong and i really hope you find some help on here. All the best.

Go stronger, think a great vacation in the beach with that money, think whatever you can to take you away. Tell us today this is the second day, and after a lot of time it will be 2 years and 20 years. Accumulate all the anger you have just not go there. Love your self.

How's it going jack? Read your story and was particularly interested and really felt for you as it must be extremely hard to live what you've gone through, one never mind three times. You have already taken huge steps towards receiving help and I respect you for that. Though I can't compare our stories as I'm only 22, this is the sort o thing that I fear. If there's any way a young chap like myself can help you at all, say the word. You're overcoming the hardest part now, the cycle of change is showing that you're now positive in not gambling for 3 days. Look forward to your reply, cheers.
