Posted a few days back about how I was feeling lower than low after a bad loss. But I find myself thinking of going for a gamble tommorow at the local arcade as it's my first day off in a while and I receive a decent sum from uni. Even though I dont want too go as I know I'll probably lose yet more money my heads telling me go and recoup some of the cash I lost a few days back and I'm struggling to stay away even thought of going tonight but thought I'd write here maybe help put me off if I wrote how I was feeling down.

So just wondering if theres any tips for when that surge hits you and how to deal with temptation as it's hard to hold off. Thinking of giving my gf my card as then I cant withdraw money or go out even any other tips would help thanks for reading.

Stay at home chasing losses can only lead to more misery. Rant on this site, have a long bath, do anything that will distract your thoughts from gambling. Handing over your cards would be a great start. It's hard to accept that any monies lost are gone but you have too.

Dear @biggunner93,

Thank you for opening up by sharing your feelings, I'm sorry to hear that you're struggling and that you're having the urge to go gamble tomorrow. It can sometimes help to remember how it feels after the gambling has taken place, you talked about how low you felt last time. Please consider the risk of feeling this way again if you have another big loss.

Overcoming problem gambling is a challenge, however, it's one that many people do go on to overcome. Perhaps we could discuss some coping strategies that may help you?
