Hi all. I am new to this after calling the gamcare helpline late last night. My wife found out yesterday I have been gambling heavily for the past few months. Any help or advice great fully received. I am considering going to a local GA meeting but would prefer 121 sessions rather than group. Thanks
Hi Moselecta
Please ring gamcare as many times as you like and keep using the forum.
You will learn a lot about the devastating addiction and how you can put it behind you.
With honesty, close family support and blocks you will build up a healthy mindset again and wonder why you ever did it. It does take reaching out for help as you will not beat it with willpower alone
Being gamble free is a great feeling and I hope you will join us. This is the start of your road to recovery.
Best wishes from everyone on the forum
