I put his odd behavior down to this (big mistake) We are both successful in our careers which should have rang alarm bells that he was always late with his half of the bills /rent etc in recent months. it all came out when I noticed rent money missing from where I kept it in the house. He came clean and told me he gambled all of his savings (approx 13k) over last year.
