After years and years of burying my head in the sand I’ve become to realise how bad my gambling has got, when it comes to payday I blow the whole entire wages gambling that day or in a few days and then am trying to rely on people helping me out but now I don’t have anyone and don’t know what to do

Thank you for posting on our forum and joining our community. I know things feel difficult right now but this is a positive step and shows you are ready for change. You are not alone with this, in addition to this forum, we offer 24/7 support via our helpline on 0808 8020 133 or Livechat for a one to one chat with an adviser if you want any additional support.

I have just decided the same enough is enough. I’ve had a gambling addiction for years always dragging me down and leaving me struggling month to month. I never open up to anyone about my struggle. I can’t keep doing this. Good luck

Hi

How at one time did I think that I loved  gambling.

Then in time I got to understand that because of the pains and fears I was causing my self that I was on an adrenaline rush.

Being in the recovery program I understood that my addictions and obsessions were a form of self abuse.

If my boss asked me to woprk a month with out pay how would I react to that question.

Yet time and time again I would give my moey away with out any healthy benefits what so ever.

At what time would I say to my self self abuse is unhealthy for me and my family.

What day do I say to my self Enough is enough.

Just for today only I will not gamble.

Just for today only I will exchange my unhealthy habits in to healthy habits.

At what time would I learn to respect my self.

At what time would I learn to love my self.

Healing and peace to every one.
