Hello,
Today after 3 years of gambling i made my last bet. For too long i have told myself i am going to stop without any real conviction. Hopefully i can get my life back on track. Despite being at quite a low pont, i am going to focus on the positives and just take it a day at a time.
Hoping to post on here regularly and keep a personal diary, however any advice or tips would be welcome. I would maybe be looking for a buddy that i can exchange emails just to let them know how im getting on and support from time to time. However, i am not sure what the rules say on this.
The only way is up!
Thanks for reading,

Hi avalon, I have just joined this group and after 15 years, today is also my last. That's my promise to this forum.
I would be very happy to exchange emails or phone calls as this is such a devastatingly hard journey, we all need the help we can get.
I'm here for both of you as well should you need any help. We're all in this together.
Thank you. I really need the strength of those here. I feel as though I need words of encouragement and comfort from everyone as I can't seek support in personal life. I hope I can make friends here.
Good luck to you both. Lots of advice and support on here.
Thank you all for your messages of support, together we can beat this bad habit.
I think the only way to overcome my gambling is to remain positive and not dwell on the past, just remember that by quitting gambling we are infact winning. The only person benifitting when we gamble is the house. Everytime i get the urge to gamble i am going to try and do something positive instead such as go for a run, read a book or call a friend.
junebug1981- apologies for the late reply, i would glady exchange emails, i think it will benifit us greatly. You can contact me at [email protected]
Anyone that wishes to send me an email at that address is welcome, i feel i need as much support as possible.
Affected by gambling?
