Where do I start gambled all my life now reached rock bottom

I have gambled all my life I am now 53 and hit the bottom it all started in September I was working had a gd job life was not that bad I was gambling a lot but I was ok each month then it happend going home one night from a late shift I was on my motorcycle and got hit by a non insurance driver I broke my elbow and damaged my leg as I was a enginee I could not do my job so hot made redundant they gave me some redundancy pay so I was going to be ok for a while but had to sign on but they were not giving me enough to cover all my bills  so the doctors saying I need a operation on my arm and leg I would be out for at least 6 months so like a idiot I thought I could make up my wage differences by winning some cash I should no better I now have lost the lot can’t pay my rent and bills and lose my house I am so ashame of my self life has really hurt me that’s my story in a nut shell thought it might help talking to someone sorry to all the people I have hurt the last six months x

So sorry to read this. You’ve had a tough time and gambling has only made this worse. I know you feel like there is no way out but trust me there is. Speak to the team at GamCare. They will guide you. Rock bottom is only a state of mind. You can always get lower, but you must focus on moving forward and never getting to that place again. Gambling will take you to even darker places if you don’t address it head on. First step was reaching out in here. Second step is reaching out to others. You’d be surprised how supportive friends and family can be. 

Now get some blocks in place, speak to someone, ignore the money, it’s gone now and you won’t win it back. Speak to your bank/landlord, they should be able to help you out. Same with bills. Everyone has a financial crisis at one point so they are well versed in helping people out.
