After 3 months of not gambling what so ever, it suckered me back in. I was playing on the premium play and it was absolute dead. I know I'm a complete idiot for putting that amount in but I kept thinking it had to do something eventually. Maybe a couple of quick jackpots and I'll be ok. Nope, absolute dead. I could have put more in but I'd just had enough. Was fighting a losing battle I was never gonna win. If it'd gave me half my money back I'd have genuinely been happy but to put that amount in with hardly any decent win. It played through credit every 5 minutes. When I was doing it I wasn't even thinking straight. Was only when I walked out I'd realised what I'd done. It had become more of a challenge and I didn't even see it as money I was playing with. Now I'll go really tight with my money and won't gamble at all or even think about it until I save back all the money I lost, then I end up wanting to gamble again. Been same cycle for years. Just need to remember this particular session which shows what damage they can actually do. Â
Wow thats the reality of gambling another gamblier was boasting he won on rainbow riches got two pot and then after another got it again all gold this is reality of gambling i lost over 3 weeks ago after being gamble free for over 2 years i had saved thats the longest i have been gamble free i have lost since 2006 although i have improved alot i dont put money i need for bills etc as i use to do i have done something different with the rest of the money and have treated myself and family for a change the last time i gambled was after 9 months and had saved and blew that i was getting the urges to risk to get my money back but am glad i joined this site and did the complete opposite, this site a life saver to me as a gambling addict we cant think straight i hate the gambling industry as the love compulsive gamblers the funny thing is the jackpot and u can put thousands in and not get nothing out, i hope you manage to get the support u need and use your hard earned on a million different ways then to give them scums a penny
@tazman I agree with this - The industry have their slogans but its obvious and most likely proven they prey on the people who can't control themselves / vulnerable.
What may seem obvious though is this person you mention unless they never gamble again is going to lose that money and more (over time).
At the end of day I get they say it's entertainment but the adverts and the way it is perceived doesn't indicate entertainment.Â
Even if someone isn't vulnerable or doesn't get addicted (I won't say won't) as anyone can.
Gambling ultimately is a waste of money and time and makes the rich richer and the poor much much poorer.
Â
@san86 - I hope you manage to save back up what you lost and ultimately never gamble again - its not worth it.

@tazman I've never spent money I need for bills or got into any debt, just money I've had saved. I'm really annoyed with myself. I said I'd never do it again after a similar situation in September and I didn't gamble at all for 3 months. That's longest I've ever gone and then I fancied a little gamble and put a tenna in and played on 20p stake, ended up winning and then it must have triggered me because I won again another 3 times and forgot about the losses. Them in admiral are rubbish. After spending I went up and told them I want to self exclude and they said I couldn't really do that. I changed my mind and they actually saved the machine for me for an hour and half while I had to go somewhere. They could see I wasn't thinking right but never came and had a word. When ticket machine wouldn't let me deposit they actually told me to go to bank. Thinking about it, I'm actually really annoyed and feel like complaining. I know it's my own choice and fault but I wasn't thinking right
@absentee I used to play roulette where I could lose absolutely everything but thanks to Gamban I can't play online at all anywhere now so that to me is a massive positive. I'm not a gambling addict at all. I don't really think about it and I'll stop now for months but I'm more of a problem gambler who'll lose thousands trying to chase a tenna back. Guess like I said if I get bored and get the urge again then I'll have to just do something to take my mind off it. I've had enough now of it. Needs to stop completely because I'm not someone who can just walk out down. I either have to have money back or profit. I won't gamble now and going to self exclude from that Admiral if I can
@san86 am exactly like u i cant take a loss and thats where it does the most damage however this time after countless other times i have taken this loss better, the funny thing is both times i was actually up and lost after the gambling binge was over however this time i took half the loss and i have done something useful with the money which im proud off as it a reminder i could end up like i use to be, i hope this is end of itÂ
The funny thing was i was contemplating to get ipone 14 rather then then pro as i couldnt justify the price diff yet i blew on gambling im trying to change my mind set i have been for a steak which i would never have done, i have come to realise it might be better to buy stuff and find things to do to take mind off gambling and its helped
you mention machines so aren't these like 1 or 2 quid a spin ? it must have taken hours to get through 2k ?
and obviously you have to actually insert physical cash so are you saying you were walking around with 2 grand in cash ?
I am used to these numbers being thrown around online because depositing is so ridiculously easy but when your playing a physical machine it does become more difficult to do them large sums in for a variety of reasons
You must have been on one hell of a missionÂ

@suckedin I also maxed out my withdrawal limit on both my Halifax and Chase account. It was an horrible session. The machine did absolutely nothing. I stupidly kept playing because I believed it had to actually do something
@san86 that exactly same situation as me the previous session i gambled i was up and i couldnt stop this lasted for 3 weeks up down then i lost and promised myself i will never gamble again which lasted over 2 years and i managed to save i won a measly amount and went to casino i took ...lost the lot then went back to bookies and lost ... fortunately for me i did the complete oppossite and spent most of the money after i took it back to casino and i didnt gamble i had strong urges to just make my money back and call it quits i took all my money home paid rent in advance bought new phone and bits and bobs and its the best thing ive done this has never happened before i feel like i have actually won for a change as i know for a fact i would have blown it all and might have even blown my living expenses which i use to do something told me to get out the casino and i joined game care i am back at GA it would have ended really badly for me as i havent had this kind of money for a very long time
@tazman it's strange because I never have the urge to gamble after a big loss, I literally spend nothing until I've saved back my loss. Then when I have spare money again I'll start playing. I just need to stop completely now and not get sucked back into it. Actually done this for probably 17 years. Thing is I enjoy gambling and watch slot players on YouTube. Maybe that's not helping me at all. I've honestly had enough of it now. Rather just spend it like you did and have at least something to show for it
@san86 exactly the machines must know when they are sucking all your money i have noticed this when the machines dont want to pay you anything they will give u near misses and u just know it going to do u in but the brain thinks eventually you will get something happen it seems the machines have gone worse then they use to be abd places like mekutur, Admral etc are just taking as much of possible the few customers they do get in, it disgusting how they can take so much money and not give u a single jackpot i still remember when i use to play fruit machaines and i put £130 in £25 jackpot machine and still didnt get it and that was bad
@tazman I think if it had give me a jackpot from all that money I'd have seen it as a win lol that's all I was playing for in the end. Saw it as a game/challenge to accomplish a jackpot. I think at the end of the day when you're putting in that much money then you should get at least one jackpot from it. I really think I'm done with slots after this. I used to be bad on roulette but can't play it anymore with gamban and can't play in bookies anymore with £2 stake, so that's a massive difference. I've had bad slot losses before but never played as bad as that machine did. I'm really annoyed with staff at admiral. They didn't care at all. After £1,000 in, I told them I wanted to self exclude after how much I'd put in and they weren't interested. After they even reserved the machine for an hour and half while I had to go somewhere. After the deposit machine wouldn't let me deposit anymore, they even told me to go to bank. They could clearly see I wasn't happy and had a problem
@san86 how u feeling mate hope you havent been back to it, saw a guy today saying he lost £600 at the bookies same story he bought few gifts for his family and was trying to make his money back and lost in the process even when u do win it goes back and u lose your own money its a sick habit
