Hi all

Had a wobbly few days before Christmas but sat it out, and remain gamble-free at 52 days. Looking forward to each new clean day that follows.

No doubt Gamcare will shift this thread to the Recovery Diaries forum at some point so prepare yourselves!

Take it easy everyone, try to find some peace and quiet during the Christmas/New Year chaos and it'll help reduce the urge to lose yourself in gambling.

Just thought I would check in as been off for a few days, nothing sinister just busy with family. I'm off for an early night as it's been a very merry Christmas! 26 days in the bag and feeling stronger all the time.

Hi, I am also looking to have a clean 2014 to clear my debts and help me gain a better life for myself, through attending college in September (which I couldn't do with this current debt).

I look forward to sharing experiences and milestones and would like to add 32 days gamble free to the cumulative total.

Liam, being Hopeful.

Jam C - 30 days today (checked in 23/12)

Co-ord 45 - 15 days today (checked in 26/12)

Soooooo, 11 disciples marching on and winning the battle day by day. We really need check ins from Marek, judderman and lec101 to be sure of our numbers.......but what a start to this folks, it's certainly helping me.........as much as I don't want to let myself or my family down, I don't want to let you guys down either..........our collective total is........

219 days free of gambling...........

Taking our approx daily loss average at £100 a day......we've collectively saved nearly..........

£22000.00

Keep it up everyone.........my commitment to the group is that I'll do the count every Sunday night and update days etc. Your commitment needs to be 1) to yourself! 2) to continue to fight for all of us 3) to check in at least once a week or I'll take you off the list as I want our numbers to be the truth!!!

Keep going everyone!!!

Mr Brightside

Stop Press!!!!

Just checked out Juddermans post and he's on track for 8 days - well done mate and stop focussing on 12 being your record!! One day at a time and you'll eclipse that - this is for keeps!!

For info, I'm out tomorrow night, so the formal updates will start next Sunday 5th January!!

That's a great effort Mr Brightside, well done. Let's hope that the 12 can continue the good work so far to remain bet free. Looking forward to checking in next week.

Hello, Hello! Still here, and delighted to report 19 days in...Merry Christmas one and all. Have been very busy with extended family and mainly cooking and entertaining nieces and nephews. Have missed the interaction and very glad that we are all still on track. Have had several urges, of course, but have also enjoyed more time with partner, friends and family. Onwards and upwards and loving the daily tally of what we have saved. Got sent a 'pressie' from a gambling website and looking forward to selling it...x

Checking in as I like to do last thing before I go off to sleep, 27 days completed. This week might be difficult emotionally, if I'm still here next weekend I'll be thrilled...and I will be. Just because something isn't easy it doesn't mean it can't be achieved. Good luck folks x

Still here, day 12 without a bet getting myself warmed up for 2014 and a whole year without a bet. Its an immense challenge, but life would be fantastic if I could achieve it. Day by day I will give my all to beat this!
