I hope hope each and every one of you had a great Christmas.
Day 226 - this would have been a full year today since I made the decision to quit gambling for good. Looking back over an old bank statement from this time last year is awful. Pages and pages of online gambling transactions. I can still remember the feeling of never knowing if I had enough money coming in/in the bank for bills and food. Always working out how many pending gambling transactions were due to leave my account.
Apart from the blip in May I've been gamble free in 2016. What a difference it's made to mine and my families life. Christmas has been much easier to afford with a structured savings plan and at the same time paying back around £2500 debt, money I owed my kids, having a family holiday abroad and getting a new car. I'm generally a happier person and I can handle life and it's stresses in a much better way for not gambling. I have infinitely more patience and tolerance with family and I value my time - doing nice things like bowling and skating and meals out or cinema trips. When I sit and think about it, 2016 has been a much better year indeed.
Just to say a massive thanks to those of you who've supported me throughout... this site and the 2015 Challenge has undoubtedly given me the strength to proceed and the determination to succeed!
Checking in on day 291....... hope everyone had a great Christmas
Compliments of the season to All.
Christmas period always a dangerous time for former gamblers like me. Still managing to get through despite some small pangs.
I'm still as determined as ever to abstain for keeps.
Checking in on 343 Days.
Best Wishes.
checking in 363 days gamble free.....2 days to go to make my first entire year!!!
Congratulations to me, and everyone else in the 2015 challenge.
Looking forward to 2016 challenge as can never let this slip as ruin comes hard and fast in this addiction.
The future looks much more brighter nearly one year on.....i still have much debt but have paid a decent amount off and the best thing of all i have added no further debt to my bill via gambling..........all extra debts have been from normal lifes trials like car problems or domestic bills etc....
Life is starting to be good again, slowly but surely.
Hope you all had a good gamble free christmas, my christmas is on 28th December 2015 - a one year gamble free milestone 100%
Best Regards
