Checking in on day 1004.
It's been a rollercoaster but I am very chuffed to be through the 1000 day barrier. Roll on 3 years in March!

You should be chuffed. Well done my friend, but and there has to be a but, if I could give you one gift, don't ever think you've got this cured. Addiction has a way of coming back when you least expect it. Why its often compared to many like diabetes needing continued insulin to recover daily. All the best tri

Hi all,

Please see attached the days count for the 21 checking in. Great to see everyone back and reporting a gamble free week.

Congrats to Steve (Delboygolf) for smashing the 1000 day barrier and Deano for hitting 3 figures. Great work by everyone at this time of the year.

Just thinking ahead, due to the bank holidays I'll keep next week's counter up to lunchtime on Friday 30th. I'll then provide an update and close off the challenge. Thanks to everyone who's got involved and best wishes for the week ahead.

and as Gary reminds us this 2016 challenge finishes, the 2017 challenge needs the support of all to continue. Is there one amongst us who would be the new organiser of us all? I'm sure we'd all support them, but please give it due consideration before you agree or not. tri

ps. what i will add is supporting others and helping often helps gamblers with their recovery, if you are in any doubt, ask gary, i'm sure he'll let you in on it.
