[quote=delboygolf]Checking in on day 1004. It's been a rollercoaster but I am very chuffed to be through the 1000 day barrier. Roll on 3 years in March!

You should be chuffed. Well done my friend, but and there has to be a but, if I could give you one gift, don't ever think you've got this cured. Addiction has a way of coming back when you least expect it. Why its often compared to many like diabetes needing continued insulin to recover daily. All the best tri

Amazing achievement 1000 days plus. Congratulations.

i can second the need to stay focused though as i messed up after a straight run of 596 days gamble free and it was destroying to start again at day 1......so keep up the great work and methods. i have just failed for the second time, this time @ 136 days as i thought i could trust myself to go just £100 and ended up in a few hours doing ten times that limit i'd set as lost my control on it as soon as i had a little taste. Back on day 1 again.

Third time lucky.....

Its a disappointment to lose such massive day counts and has a bad effect on life in the aftermath, such as getting credit and loans/overdrafts where you would not normally of had to, its best avoided in the first place.

As "triangle" says don't think you're cured as thats the crux.

All the very best to you, and i shall aim for your target once i get successfully through the 2017 challenge.

Best Regards

Hi all,

I would like to sign up to the challenge again. This will be the fourth time now and really need to start again and kick this habit once and for all. Things were looking up but started again about a week ago by opening up a new account online. I was attracted by the welcome bonus and unfortunately I found myself around £500 up. This started it all again and I've been betting on everything including basketball and ice hockey into the early hours of the morning. I'm now around £1000 down in a week and need to struggle through to pay day. This is no life! I was starting to feel good about things again but now I'm back to square one!

Anyway, one step at a time. I've been here many times before and know how much easier it gets with time.

Thanks to Dean0 and Oldham for running the challenge this year. Happy new year everyone and good luck!

Honk
