2016 Challenge

I'd like to join the challenge. I'm day 5 now and doing ok, weekends, lunch time and evenings are the worst! That is most hours of the day then, online slots were my downfall, just too easy to sit at home and deposit money into the online casino. I am feeling postive and using this site instead of the online slots. As I havent gambled for 5 days I know that some of the sites where I am a VIP are going to email me and offer me free money to gamble, I hope I can say NO!

Hello Everyone,

I just joined gamcare this month and now I have read this forum and I want to join the 2016 challenge.

I started playing online sports betting 2014 but I was not that addictive because I only play if I do have extra cash and also I do not encounter financial problem as I am just happy to bet although most of the time I lose.

Now here comes the disaster, Last December 2015 I received my credit card and I encountered an online sports betting through which I started to use my credit card since I do not have cash. For the period Dec 11-26 I was able to have a profit of $5,000. It was not immediately credited to my bank account due to bank processing days and holidays. Then the losing streak comes, I started chasing my losses and continously betting on the underdogs hoping to recover my winnings until my credit limit reaches zero. When the $5,000 was credited in my account I continued chasing my losses until come January 1st of 2016 everything was gone and now I'm negative $5,000.

I entered a payment agreement with the bank through which I will do monthly payment for 24 months.

I can't imagine that in just a month I lost everything and now I am in debt of large amount.

My last bet was last Feb 6, 2016 through which I staked $10 on a tennis match.

It's just my 4th day of zero bet just because I have no money. My credit card was gone and my girlfriend is the one who is in control of my ATM account. I continously engage myself in reading forums here in Gamcare and also going to the gym to stay away from my urge to gamble. I am in a very difficult financial situation right but sometimes I still want to play. Luckily I have no money that's why I can't play.

Checking in on day 338...... nudging closer to a year gamble free and chipping away at my debt need to look forward and not back
