Hi all,

Welcome to the first check in totaliser for the year. Great to see many new names and welcome back to people who were on the 2015 challenge. Can you please check your numbers and I will edit if I've made a mistake!

Glad to see 35 people checked in. I've had a good read of all the stories and it's been a great reminder to me of the pain and suffering I was in when deep in my additction.

Every day bet-free is a success to a compulsive gambler...hope you all have a fabulous gamble-free week ahead and I shall provide an update next Monday. The challenge will, of course, remain open to anyone that wishes to join.

Cheers pal and apologies..updated it so there's the right gappage! Think it's correct now as I've added an extra day to last years total to take effect of the extra day to a Sunday now. Stupid spreadsheets...

Checking in on day 4. Feeling rough lately, work is stressing me out and i think that is why i caved in on new years eve, didnt make me feel better though. I have anxiety and panic attacks sometimes too so gambling just adds to it. it is a nasty addiction. Its only day 4 but i will break my no gambling record this year. Hope you all stay strong.

Welcome back Jim. Grab hold of the challenge this year and don't let go.

thanks gary for resettling days

Just a reminder in the 2015 challenge, a wednesday night in the chat 8-9pm was a useful place for any 'challengers' to meet and give each other a bit of support. Its a casual invite.

Tri x

I'm a bit upset with the amount of people on this site not confident that they will last long gamble free and 'crumble'

In my experience negativity breeds negativity and I feel a more positive approach I.e 'I am definitely going to beat my last attempt' will not only help yourself stay strong but also have a positive effect on other people on here also...

Maybe Dejanero people look for advice on here and dont get a single reply off anyone. I joined this challenge and yes i am struggling, that is why i am on here, and i havent had a response from anyone. Your post is very unhelpful to me and many others. A lot of people on here are battling this in their own way so sorry if its not all upbeat positive posts. Maybe people should actually bother responding to people's posts or trying to see why they might crumble etc. Anyway DAY 7 CHECKING IN, but i might just keep my own record of it if this site is like this. Useless.
