2016 Challenge

Checking in day 52. It's been a tough few weeks of being skint but I am hoping that the next month will be easier. Still need to sort finances out. But that will take time and patience. Just need to continue to stay away from bookies and signing up to more online bookies! They are evil!!!

Unfortunately I had a 2 day relapse and wiped out what would have been 123 days gamble free. This was just over £500 and has taken me into a bit of financial trouble for the next few weeks. I've managed to extend my already massive £1000 overdraft by £200 and pulled £130 out of my savings which had taken me a few months to accumulate ( I already have a lot of debt and this makes it difficult to save up much each month). When will I ever learn ?? A new phone and I saw an opportunity to gamble and took it. I then went and spent the day in the local bingo hall playing slots too. Early winning spurred me on to keep going and eventually the bank began declining my cash withdrawals and I received a text because they suspected fraud on my account.

Just shows that even after a few months gamble free, that weak moment can strike when you least expect it. Not a good feeling today.

Hoping to rebudget and get my finances back on track near Christmas time. By then I'll be over 100 days gamble free again and that's my goal for the next few months.

Today I'll be installing blocking software on my new phone and I've taken a time out for 6 weeks on my favourite site as a precautionary measure. Should really self-exclude altogether tbh but this option was easy to opt for on my mobile phone.
