May not seem much time but 4 weeks has passed since my last gamble and i do feel like i am turning a corner. i know the temptation will always be there i just need to take charge and take each and every day as it comes. I had a work educational in Newcastle this weekend and not many people at work know i have this addiction. They booked us into the Casino for a meal and a bit of a flutter which wasn't the ideal scenario for me. My best mate who was with me said he would keep an eye on me so i gave him my free bet and sat there. I didn't feel an urge to gamble or a craving like before, Numbers on the Roulette table would come in which i would normally have bet on and been angry had i not. I wouldn't advise going to a casino with a gambling problem however i managed to overcome the daemon for another day. It will always be with me i know that but if you really want something that bad then you will get it.
I hope that my update can help people in some way, good luck everyone
Sean

Hi mate
I'm also 4 weeks clear tomorrow. Been tough, but every day does get just a slight bit easier. I've started to notice that I have a bit of cash left at this stage of the month which is usually pretty rare.
I took the missus out last night for tea and to the cinema, instead of betting on the carling cup matches. I didn't even think once about the footy and had a great night.
Keep it up pal, it gets easier and you'll notice changes in your life and in yourself.
Cheers guys really appreciate it.
Exactly the same for me was so easy to be able to bet on the Carling Cup and 1st games of the Season just gone! Taking each day as it comes but it is hard! Gambling is everywhere so hard to get away from!
Top work pal we are at the same stage so hopefully we can move on from it! Nice you could take the Missus out instead of wasting your money.
I am hoping i can see these changes a friend of mine came out and said he had a problem also so i have directed him here! He is 3 days off Gambling so hopefully he can stop!
I look forward to hearing your progress take it easy buddy 🙂
