Evening James,

Just wondering if you would do me and my fellow 2014 challenge comrades a huge favour and take part in a "Spotlight" feature we have started within the challenge thread in Overcoming Problem Gambling?

We had our inaugural week as part of the update on Sunday just past and I've got a "guest" contributor for the update this week.....however, it would be fantastic to hear a few words of wisdom from you the following week if you wouldn't mind taking the time?

There are 5 standard questions - these can be found on Page 218 of the Challenge Thread as part of my update from Sunday - answers were from two of the soldiers.

If you would be willing them please email me your answers using the address at the foot of the very first post on the thread.

Many many thanks and hope you are well.

Kind regards,

Mr Brightside

Hi Mr Brightside, hope you are well too and apologies for not coming back to you earlier.

It would be an honour and a priviledge my friend; of course, i'd be happy to.

It has been wonderful to watch the 2014 challenge evolve, and it has grown into a marvellous little community; so very pleased that it has helped many others on here.

I will make sure you have something by the end of the day. Thank you, sincerely appreciate your kind words my friend.

Hi James,

Many many thanks for taking the time to send me through your responses - they are superb! I'm really looking forward to sharing them with the group this coming Sunday when I update on our progress.

Having duncanmacs and yourself contribute to the challenge is invaluable and tapping into your experience and that of others (molehole........if you're reading this?!?!) can only further support the team and increase our individual/collective chance on abstinence.

Really appreciate your time and ongoing support.

Mr Brightside

Hey Mr.B, Molehole heard his name mentioned so his little snout has broken ground to sniff out what's going on, haha 😉

I'd be happy to answer any questions for the group - please ask away or point me to the questions. (keeping it real though, I'm not sure how much my answers will help. I've stopped gambling for nearly 5 years now, but still struggle and now drink too much, so maybe I've just replaced one addictive behaviour with another? I'd be honoured to give you my insight into how I stopped gambling though if anyone cares. Let me know)

Hey Molehole!!!

Firstly, really appreciate the words on the advertising thread you started, means a lot. I'm getting a heck of a lot from the Challenge thread......selfishly, it's my conscience as part of my own recovery, but knowing that it's helping others is really important too. All good mate.

So, onto your offer.......I'd be over the moon if you would contribute to the Spotlight section of the challenge. We've run the feature for the last 2 updates now. I'm aiming to have one of the team members of the challenge, plus invite someone else from the forum to contribute as well........duncanmacs, then JamesP and if you would oblige then it'd be Molehole a week on Sunday!!!

Everyone answers the same 5 questions - if you look at Sundays update on the challenge thread (page 232), the 5 questions are there, plus you'll get an idea as to what types of things have been said. Would be simply brilliant to have yours on there.

Thanks for taking an interest MH.......and even more so if you'd give us your time and thoughts. If you're up for it, email me your answers using the address at the foot of the very first post on the challenge thread.

Thanks mate,

Mr Brightside
