I am considering installing the K9 software on my iphone and ipad. However as I regularly upgrade both can it be removed for when I want to sell them?

Does it block all forms of gambling as I still do the lottery.

Thanks

Hi Danny,

I can see that the www.k9webprotection.com home page contains what looks to be a reasonably comprehensive FAQs section under the 'Support' heading.

I'm hoping this section can provide the illumination you're looking for with regard to your specific queries; but do watch this space as it may well be that one of our community members (or one of my GamCare colleagues) can bring some greater expertise to bear.

Wishing you well,

(Robert).

Hi

Yes, K9 can be removed (and it is a very effective blocker) but you need the administrator password in order to do so. The safest way to use it is to get someone else to set the password and have it linked to their email address. Then when you need to clean your machine to sell it, they can sort it for you.

If you've already set it up yourself, you can still bring a friend on board and get them to change the password and email address for you. It's never too late to get things more secure. 🙂

FF

PS Yes it will block all forms of gambling as the default, but you can whitelist the lottery site if you really want to carry on with that.
