Hello, is anyone able to chat to me I've just relapsed and lost 200 pound in the space of 5 minutes. If anyone can just talk to me it would be appreciated.

Hi jbro I'm never too sure how instant this is but it's definitely not 'live' unless you're in the chat room at the set time. There will be one this afternoon. In the meantime read the diaries, online blockers, self exclusion. Only you can do this. Hand over finances too. Good luck!

Hi Jbro200

Just to add to Merrygoround's sound advice - the Chatroom's open at 2pm. But you might want to consider phoning Gamcare, for free, to talk things through.

And, whatever you do, don't try to win the money you've lost back. It's gone and chasing is futile; you'll lose. The reason you'll lose is because even if you win the money back, you'll keep going to try and win more because that's the pattern, and you'll eventually lose.

You need to ban yourself from all online casinos and there's software available that can help you do just that, talk it though with Gamcare.

If you seriously want to stop, then that's fantastic. You've done it once before, so double down this time and make this the last time you gamble.

Every morning, just remind yourself of this bitter, yet refreshing, truth.

"Just for today, I will not gamble. I want to live life, not the guaranteed utter misery gambling will bring."

You've taken the first step, visiting this site and writing a diary. Nows the time to start momentum!
